Rolat Inc SAS is a Colombian company specializing in Roku software development, founded in February 2021. Our founder, Karen Alejandra, has over 13 years of experience in programming and software development, with more than 9 years dedicated to Roku development. In 2019, she was selected by Roku as an ambassador for Latin America and led the first-ever Roku Developer Meetup worldwide, held in Bogotá—a milestone for Colombian and Latin American women in tech.
Our name, Rolat, combines Ro from Roku and Lat from Latin America, reflecting our roots and our commitment to promoting Latin American talent and positively impacting the region. In Colombia, “Rolas” refers to women from Bogotá, adding a local and empowering touch to our identity. Inclusion is not just a value but a reality within our team, where women hold key roles across development, administration, creativity, and operations, reinforcing our dedication to women’s inclusion in technology.
